Being in Nature: Mindfulness for Children
Children are naturally in tune with their bodies and their environment. Together through mindful listening, breathing, seeing, and storytelling, we will harness this beautiful quality of wonder and presence. We have a high tolerance for movement and sound, and the children are not expected to sit still or be quiet all the time.
This session is brought to us by Zeenat Potia. Zeenat teaches mindfulness in Boston, and is an instructor for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare and eMindful. She has also taught meditation at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center since 2014, and served on the Board of Directors from 2012-2019. She integrates a business career of over 20 years in strategic communications in her corporate offerings. As an immigrant and a working mother, her teaching stems from an aspiration to create a more inclusive and sustainable world. To learn more, please visit zeenatpotia.com.
We are sharing this free 30-minute program to explore a family practice of mindfulness, geared for children (ages 4-10) and their caregivers. Thank you to Zeenat for bringing this wonderful program to our community at the Growing Center.
