A Note from the 2024 Salvage Sale Organizers:
Thank you, Somerville! Thanks to everyone who attended the 2024 Seasonal Salvage Sale & Makers' Market! More than 400 people came out on a beautiful fall day to browse and shop our donated vintage wares at the Salvage Sale and beautiful handmade items and apparel sold by 13 local craft vendors at the Makers' Market. All told, the Growing Center brought in more than $1700 to support our programming and operational expenses.
About the Salvage Sale
Rather than a traditional yard sale, the Salvage Sale is a two-part shopping experience: a curated, seasonally-themed secondhand sale where 100% of the proceeds go to the Growing Center; and a "Makers' Market" filled with local craft vendors who participate for a nominal fee but get to keep all the proceeds of their sales.
